Aunty Mariam, Nasira, Nasima, Zain and Zaheera
I’m so so sorry 😢 😞

How can my mere words be any match for the depths of your grief..

I awoke feeling so so sad today, as I heard his voice “you ok Beti?” like he would always ask me at the beginning of our calls.
After my Dada passed away 2 years ago, and till dad lost his ability to speak clearly, I really valued his and my conversations over the phone, which often ended up being about more than just the work.

I have a very strong feeling that yesterday, at such an auspicious time between Asr and Maghrib on Friday, when the angels removed his soul, it was a gentle easy experience, like a drop of water leaving a vessel we are told.
And, as his departed soul was taken up to Allah, i have faith that he heard the angels comment on his soul “oh generous soul” “oh just soul”
“Oh striving soul” and the most beautiful fragrance trailed behind…

He had so many beautiful characteristics that will allow him to reach Jannah…may Allah forgive him, accept him and have mercy on him…Aameen

I know how much Dad meant to you all and what a gaping hole he will leave in the family 💔
Pls convey my salaam and heartfelt condolences to the family. I can’t imagine what a difficult time it must be and will be for a while…

Find solace in the fact that you WILL be reunited with him, forever and ever.
Aameen…

I was deeply saddened to hear of the death of Professor Rashid Bhikha a few days ago. My sincere condolences to his family and friends in their grief. A truly unique person, who will be greatly missed.

I have known Rashid for many years, both as colleague and friend. He was an intrepid trailblazer in the challenging field of general health and human nature. He was without reservation a good and exceptional man, who has made important major contributions to emerging medical theory and practice. Important areas such as integrative medicine, importance of temperament, potential of herbology and lifestyle factors will benefit from his extensive research programmes and observational investigations.

I do hope his dynamic approaches and foresight continue to be championed by those in the Tibb Institute. He deserves to be recognized by the healthcare establishment. Rashid will be sorely missed.

As Salam ‘alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu!
Bismillahi’r-Rahmani’-Rahim
Inna liLlahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon

We just saw today the news about Ustadh Rashid Bhikha leaving this temporary abode… Although we never met and he didn’t know me in this life, in the last months I have truly benefited from his works and the e-books available for free download at the Ibn Sina Institute of Tibb. As in my country there is no formal education on the subject of Tibb Nabawi, I am resorting to self-learning, and the e-books from Ustadh Rashid are of immense help, conveying through their simple, yet precise language the teachings of Islamic/Prophetic Medicine to all those who ask to learn it. I ask Allah Almighty that Ustadh Rashid may reach Jannat ul-Firdaus and that he may receive an immense reward and blessings from his good deeds, that he continue to receive the flowing of blessings coming from the Sadaqa Jariyya for giving these books for free download in the benefit of the Ummah of Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa salam) and mankind! May Allah have mercy on Ustadh Rashid Bhikha, I consider him one of my masters in the pursuit of the Noble Science of Medicine, may Allah forgive him e give eternal blessings for his soul.

Dr Rashid Bhika

He was an epitome of dedication towards Unani medicine. He propagated Unani Tibb in South Africa and also contributed in bringing out Unani literature for modern times. He really worked hard and had set up state of the art Unani centres in South Africa.

I personally met him so many times as he frequently attended so many scientific deliberations here in India. Later when his health didn’t permit he used to call on Unani day and conveyed his best wishes.

He was blessed with a lovely family and friends.

He was Mentor for many. At personal level, it’s a great loss as I considered him a great and most respected Human being and a Stalwart. I saw him first time when he visited RRIUM, Delhi to see how Cupping is being done in India from Late Dr Hannan Sahab.

May Allah swt do his maghfirat and grant him highest place in Jannah .

messages from all over SA and the globe are pouring in attesting to Prof legacy
Alhamdullilah we all had the privilege of knowing him 💜
his life time achievement award… he was named the Hippocrates of Tibb in South Africa
It is heart breaking news.I am extremely saddened and praying for departed soul’s magfirah and admission to Jannah and sabre jamil for his family, friends, well wishers and students, teachers and practitioners of Tib medicine whom he always guided and supported. He will be remembered for long for his contribution for revival and promotion of Tib in South Africa. His death is personal loss to me.
Apart from any significant thing in our belated prof live that he was punctual on his Salaah/Namaaz. Whilst I was still practicing at Tibb or an event at the medical centre he will always asked me about the namaaz times and read his namaaz on time or joined us in jamaat salaah.
completely second all the sentiments above. Prof really dedicated every once of his being to the establishment and growth of tibb in South Africa.

He was a career father, always looking out for us. And yes it wasn’t all sunshine and roses but Prof Always went that extra mile to ensure that tibb and its new graduates were sorted.

Indeed a huge loss, Allah grant Prof the highest place in jannah in sha Allah. My heart breaks over and over again… the last 2 yrs we experienced loss upon loss, each one breaking us a little further and just when u think u can’t break any more, life throws another curve ball. 💔

Where do we start, when we start talking of Dad.
He played such a role in soo many people’s lives, and impacted soo many people that I think for generations it will be felt. I didn’t get to spend a lot of time with him, but certainly he was so influential with a heart of gold.

ALLAH has certainly granted him relief from this Dunyaa, and will certainly elevate him to the highest stages of Jannatul Firdoze insha ALLAH.
May ALLAH grant you all sabr n strength to deal with this tremendous loss, n grant you the ability to continue in the same vein, as Dad, with all he’s hundreds of projects.

All the best and be resilient like you always are, as your daddy taught all of you.
